The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. in White Bear Lake just north of St. Paul. The crash forced the closure of northbound lanes, which reopened at 3:30 p.m.

Kevin Smith, spokesman for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, said all three people in the car and the driver of the van, 47-year-old Gary L. Baar, were dead at the scene. His 40-year-old wife, Wendy A. Baar, was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and was listed in serious but stable condition.

There's a possibility students could take old computers apart and sell the pieces on the Internet to raise club funds for the future. The Web publishing aspect of the club is the most important piece to Traut. "That will give the kids a good background and skill set," he said. In high school, Traut got his first try at desktop publishing as he worked on the student newspaper and the annual calendar.

Now, he wants others to get their first try at something new during their high school years. "In high school, the most important thing to learn is kind of a broad spectrum of what's out there," Traut said. "This exposes students to a fairly wide variety of computer-related potential careers," he said. From Page IB Sartell and the adviser's salary for at least four or five years. The adviser is identifying students who may want to participate in the club that will meet after school two days a week.

The club will likely take on the following tasks: Update the district Web site and provide service to staff who want Web sites for their classroom, activity or club. They drank more beer before arriving at the Leaf Valley Mercantile Bar, where they were served more alcohol. The brothers then went to Michael B's in Alexandria, where they were refused service. The Northways next traveled to Jeff Judy's in Forada, where Robert Northway had several Windsor Cokes, according to Bryan Northways deposition.

He testified that he convinced the bartender there to serve his brother even though the bartender didn't want to serve him anymore. Lawyers for the bars call Bryan Northway's deposition testimony absurd and not credible. The Northways then went to Spinner's Bar in New Munich, where they had one beer each, according to the deposition. They then went to Doochies. A bartender and several patrons there observed Robert Northway to be visibly drunk and obnoxious, according to depositions and grand jury testimony, filed in support of the motion.

Confrontations occurred during the games and bar staff became concerned about the arguments escalating.

Doochies At one point, a bartender took money out of the till and hid it down her pants because she feared the brothers might try to rob the bar. The Northways were the only patrons the bartender didn't know who weren't with any of Doochies' regulars, according to testimony. Doug Salzl, the bar's owner who goes by the nickname Doochie, came back to his bar to make sure nothing would happen at closing time, according to court records. Meanwhile, a bartender there asked a few locals to stick around to help if necessary. Bar staff locked the back door at Doochies earlier than usual, essentially routing traffic out the front door.
